Flexible hours, relaxed work environment, casual dress-code, great coworkers, and free pizza sometimes! There also isn't a strict hierarchy -- the owners/management are really great at being approachable and colloquial rather than seeming like your boss. It never feels like you're walking on egg shells around them and you can tell they care a lot about each and every employee's well-being.

There's unfortunately a clear divide between departments that makes it hard for everyone to mingle, work together, and understand each others' roles. In some ways, this creates a stiff environment that makes it hard to fully achieve the fun, family culture RSC aims for.

Find more ways to mix the departments together and foster a real family environment. Brief company-wide meetings once a month to share awesome achievements made by departments or individuals and make sure everyone understands any changes made to our pricing or offerings. Also, see if there's a way to help employees decompress at work. Many employees handle multi-million dollar projects and that amount of stress can really weigh heavily on you over time. Creating a safe space in the office for those employees to relieve that stress could do wonders for productivity and morale.

RSC is a great company to work for! It is a small company but it is growing. You are treated with respect and you are cared about like family. The owner is very dedicated to the company and his employees. The company is growing and is reaching out into new avenues and ways to be an important and undeniable source for the commercial furniture industry and many more as we grow.

There are a few cons but the pros outwieght them for me. One con would be the very tight deadlines. The other con, since we are a customer based business, is the customer relations, dealing with clients some times can be challenging.
