This is not a typical marketing or sales internship. You won't work 9-5 Monday through Friday, but you make up hours on the weekends. You go to events on the weekends which are either Whole Foods or random events and sample the teas to people. Interning at Runa was a great experience. There was always something new to do each week, and it gave me great exposure to the beverage industry. The company culture is very young, and people at the company are very easy to talk to. Share an office space with architects and other like minded individuals, great atmosphere and never ending flow of guayusa caffeine to power you through your day. Office culture is collaborative and creative. Work is hands on, although your job description may have a specific concentration, everyone shares a lot of the office related and company driven tasks. Hours can be unpredictable, work can be grueling in the summer without A/C. Everyone that works there is truly switched on and supports the mission. Great flexibility, great team, good benefits.
