Management Event Security Glendale, AZ USA Great company This is a great company. I had to move and the new area is not close to any other the covered venues. I was allowed to work as much as I could get my hands on but there in lies the rub. Trying to get on the schedule was first call first pick (imagine calling a radio station contest every week for your schedule). There were times I dialed 212 times in 10 minutes and that didn't include using my wife's phone. The only other drawback was low pay. Pay was not bad, but could have been better. Getting paid to work at concerts, NFL games, and more. Jury's still out on whether I'll want to work another one. No real orientation for new hires. One would think that during Covid times, with a tenth of the normal amount of guests in attendance, there would be a more organized way to evenly distribute/pair brand new hires with more experienced staff. I was grouped with someone who had no sense of how to perform security gate checks, and this was my first security job, too. A lot of blind leading the blind situations all over the place, with one supervisor running all around telling us how expert he is as a TSA supervisor. Great! Why don't you pair newbies with old hats so the newbies can actually learn something? Sense of purpose and need to job well is clear and well expressed. No real orientation for new hires.
