The students that come to class and want to be there are wonderful! There are so many: 1. Moldy and dilapidated Buildings 2. Faculty Bullying from Administration (specifically Dean Wanda Coneal, stay out of her way!) 3. Roach infested buildings and bathrooms 4. Lack of Support for Junior Faculty 5. Mismanagement of Funds 6. Not a supportive environment For the brief time that I was there, we were furloughed twice which means that we received little to no notice regarding pay or benefits. It is literally the den of despair. Don't Ever Consider Working Here, Please. The students were awesome and faculty don't pay for parking, This is a terrible place to work! The faculty and staff are treated irresponsibly. Everything said in the news is absolutely true. People are threatened by those with advanced degrees and faculty are held responsible for students in a way that doesn't make them accountable. They aren't aware of what's going on in the real world and want to control every part of faculty and staff member lives. They've lost some great people in the time that I worked there and they'll continue to lose more because they have no idea how to work with people. Instead, they want to manage people. To make matters worse, faculty and staff were furloughed when I was there and are apparently furloughed again. The alumni is also really involved and engaged. Boss only criticized if something was done incorrectly, never praised when something was done well. Job doesn't seem secure. Gun problems on campus seem to be occurring more and more often.
