That parents and families are very grateful for the teachers. We get a lot of paid time off. The new management has recently started to plan after work activities, so employees can bond after work, example of some of the activities we have done baseball games, broadway shows etc. company offers a Great benefit package. I am sure some departments are great, the mission is fantastic, the CEO (Cardinal Archbishop of NY) is dynamic. I would line up 27 children (ages 3,4, and 5 year old) in the gym at 8:00 to walk down the hallway to the classroom. My assistant didn't start until 8:00, but was never around to help. The assistant they hired was a transfer from a school that closed down due to poor enrollment. I learned that the assistant they hired did not have a high school diploma nor could read or write. She was grandfathered in and the school did not seem to care if she had any education background or values. I was caring for 27 students that ranged from 3-4-5 years old by myself for the first part of the day. It was a very stressful environment. The assistant did not want to talk or be around me nor the children. She just wanted to clean. When they finally let her go, the school didn't have anyone to replace her, but the principal's best friend. She was an older woman that had no patience at all, especially with the children. She would interrupt circle time to announce that someone dropped a tissue on the floor. She would also make awful comments to the students. Parents complained and some left the program to search for something better. I could write a book on this place. Whatever you do, DON'T APPLY. STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTS.
