You need to dedicate more than one person to crafting training and keep them dedicated to that instead of pulling them off it for something else. It is a full time position. Learn to trust staff that have been there to do the job. If they can't, they shouldn't be there.

Family business - everyone knows everyone. Pace is manageable. Top-notch product. Great people.
As far as I can see Management is very straight-forward with there people. Not a lot of politics or any scape-goating. It's what you expect from a 30+ year family owned business in upstate NY. No metropolitan "step-over people" to get ahead madness. No rush-hour traffic to fight thru. One of the most affordable places to live in the United States. If you want to get away from the madness of city life, this is the place for you.

Benefits and salary may be less than what you are use too. This is offset by cheaper cost of living in HQ area.
