No benefits, low pay, and they likely won't pay you at all. Quick to jump on new technology without reason or thought to the work involved. High company debt and poor management, with too many managers and not many workers. management takes all the money and diverts funds from successful projects to shore up failures, thus rewarding the wrong people. A game developer would gain more work experience by working alone. Projects are usually pretty cool and there are always interesting folks that are brought together to take on projects. The company has for the most part been made up of contractors and a lack of a central office can be challenging for some who are used to working in a traditional corporate structure or office setting. That said, they have continually improved the virtual managment tools and also people are getting better at working from home offices or with disparate teams so as time goes on teams should feel more at home. Sometimes they will set up an office for long-term projects and hire locally. Not only are the people great but the projects are very different and interesting. I can't say I really have any complaints so far. Due to the nature of the projects I have seen, I could see why they have had money problems. BEWARE! Do NOT work for this company! Let artist work from home once in a while. Other Artist were fun to work with. Company let go of alot of poeple withought advanced notice, we were just sent an email day of. Company owes ALOT of money to alot of people! The staff was a blast. Mostly guys and we acted a fool. The CEO John seemed to generally care about the staff. They did have some financial problems that led to some of my friends not getting paid.
