The work/life was good. We were also compensated well for the work we did day in and day out. That said, I learned more at SBLM than I did in any classroom or job. If not for anything else, come for the knowledge. You’ll be surprised by how much this company can teach you. Only apply at SBLM if you’re interested in growing a thriving career. There are pros and cons to working here, but in my opinion the positives far outweigh the negatives. Come in with a positive mindset and a willingness to give your all in everything that you do and you’ll do just fine. Over the course of a year we developed great comradery with one another. Some of the projects are better than others, but that doesn’t really matter when you work with people you enjoy being around. High turnover. They will strongly let you know that you’ve screwed up in one way or another, but they’ll also give you the chance to rectify the issue and learn from the experience. It’s understandable that some people would be rubbed the wrong way by this management style, but that’s just the way it goes sometimes. You gotta have a tough skin to make it here.
