I have consistently been happy in my time working here as a team coordinator. Pay is good! Leadership in the department is not very visible/proactive, so the team coordinators are left to manage themselves for the most part. This doesn't work when dealing with conflicts or short staffing, but overall we have a great team. Teamwork is a huge focus Don't have direct support very often 0.0 0.0 4.0 4.0 3.0 4.0 4.0 2.0 Jan 30th, 2021 08:53PM Mar 19th, 2021 07:54PM Seattle Cancer care Alliance

The people are great, very mission driven, good WLB, pay is good. 7% retirement match after the first year, decent medical benefits. Advancement is great if you're a nurse - professional staff without a clinical background may have to prove themselves a little longer. Great people, mission driven, strong pay/benefits Demanding work, but not overly so. 0.0 0.0 5.0 5.0 5.0 4.0 5.0 5.0 Jan 30th, 2021 08:53PM Mar 20th, 2021 01:06PM Seattle Cancer care Alliance

Very well structured daily operation, getting patients in and out of their treatments. Unfortunately, management and the staff are also on auto-pilot, as is their communication, creating an even more depressing day to day environment with little to no encouragement or focus, outside of what you bring yourself. Cell phone use was allowed during down time, food options are good. Good benefits minimal verbal communication, lack of encouragement, widely-varying work ethic and lack of company culture 0.0 0.0 2.0 3.0 1.0 2.0 4.0 2.0 Jan 30th, 2021 08:53PM Mar 19th, 2021 07:59PM Seattle Cancer care Alliance

Even though my position is pretty low on the totem pole, I feel respected and supported by co-workers and management. I feel that my supervisors genuinely want to see me succeed in my career path and I'm thankful for that. Flexible scheduling and mostly low-stress work environment are bonuses. Flexible scheduling, generous sick policy, awesome patients Short breaks, paid parking, expensive cafeteria 0.0 0.0 5.0 5.0 5.0 4.0 5.0 5.0 Jan 30th, 2021 08:53PM Mar 20th, 2021 03:57PM Seattle Cancer care Alliance
private:seattlecancercarealliance https://www.indeed.com/cmp/seattle-cancer-care-alliance/reviews Jul 18th, 2020 12:00AM Open Open Open Seattle Cancer Care Alliance Manager Seattle, WA USA Extraordinary care of patients, outstanding mission, some poor work culture elements. There are people in leadership positions without subject matter expertise, convinced that a bit of sort-of-relevant knowledge is sufficient while failing to provide anything resembling vision or original thought. They engage in meeting-sitting and hall monitor activities without constructive contribution or innovation. Autocratic control without value, expertise or inspiration is referred to as “leadership.” This results in poor decisions and extra time and effort by those who do have expertise to compensate and fix the problems these “leaders” cause. Energy is sapped and morale is diminished in the process. This problem is multiplied when those “leaders” hire/promote other people who also lack expertise and/or have behavior issues. This is a house of cards that is spoiling what would otherwise be a great place to work. Too much of the organization falls within one reporting structure and that creates conflicts of interest and fear to speak out about the problems. For those few who do stand up and speak out, their concerns, including bullying are swept under the rug and diminished rather than confronting power to take appropriate action. Experts are over-looked for promotion if they don’t engage in these politics (read, “suck up”) and pretend that nothing is wrong. Outstanding employees have disappeared, suddenly. Rationalizing domineering, controlling behavior as “leadership” is shameful. While there are some outstanding managers/leaders at SCCA, the few poor ones create a toxic environment. Hopefully, SCCA can turn this around and get back to the great work with great people. Extraordinary care of patients, outstanding mission, some poor work culture elements. Many truly dedicated, passionate, brilliant employees. Segments of the culture are passive aggressive and in a few cases just plain aggressive, control issues without vision or expertise 0.0 0.0 3.0 3.0 3.0 2.0 3.0 3.0 Jan 30th, 2021 08:53PM Mar 20th, 2021 04:01PM Seattle Cancer care Alliance

Unfortunately the leadership is weak throughout the organization which has many negative consequences for employees. This made for a less then satisfying experience working at the organization. The salary and benefits are good so if you can overlook the serious dysfunction it might be the place for you. 0.0 0.0 3.0 4.0 2.0 2.0 4.0 1.0 Jan 30th, 2021 08:53PM Mar 19th, 2021 08:07PM Seattle Cancer care Alliance

Excellent patient care standards. Administration somewhat disconnected from front line staff Great place for it's awesome standards of care and teamwork. No Call. No weekends. Great location. Better than average benefits. Bad for commuters. Limited type of exams, so if one is trying to get experience, this is not the best choice. 0.0 0.0 4.0 5.0 4.0 4.0 4.0 4.0 Jan 30th, 2021 08:53PM Mar 19th, 2021 08:10PM Seattle Cancer care Alliance

Management is so young and inexperienced that it creates a lack of communication and direction. Patients are great and so appreciative. That's what makes the job worth it. The patient load can be a lot at times. The job requires good time management and prioritization skills as well as attention to detail.
