I highly recommend working for any senior living community managed or owned by SSA. Fair compensation, supervisors that listen, open minded to new ideas and direct communication. Here is a company that actually cares about its people!

Time off benefits - I'd prefer a bit more vacation time - and not lumping sick time into the state-mandated PTO. Otherwise really nothing to add.

everything, they have lack of communication between regional managers which leads to issues inside the communities, they believe that their way is the best way no matter the cost or time it takes, they believe that they are significantly above the other management companies when it comes to medical, dining and activities when in reality they have their heads so far up their butt they can't see better ideas.

The downtime is sometimes relaxing and comes in big waves. Many of the residents are sweethearts and just want someone to talk to.
|
Administration doesn’t respect employees’ off days and PTO. Make sure to put your phone on silence when you’re not there and keep record of every time they confirm your time off. Say NO.

Respect your employees’ time and be available for your own time mistakes. Calling people the day they start their PTO and begging to have them come into work is incredibly unprofessional and disrespectful.
