Real Start Up Life
Great place to cut your teeth on real problems with the opportunity to learn all aspects of the job that extend beyond job title and role. If you are looking for a place to solve problems, tackle things and grow this is a good place. An easy going culture is also a bonus with a very receptive management team.
At times, you have to figure things out yourself. There are no training manuals that take you step by step through the processes. So if you are not a self-starter that wants more and more responsibility this could be a challenging place as one if forced to figure things out. That being said, people are always open to helping. Also, you will tend to work on many different things from small little projects to big overarching initiatives.

Work hard, play hard
So many opportunities to learn, collaborate, and grow. Fast growth, like a roller-coaster ride, has its challenges, but overall it's a lot of fun and presents tons of opportunities for growth. If you're very curious about trying or doing something, you can do it.
You'll have a ton of projects to work on at once and it seems overwhelming but it is a great challenge and others on the team are happy to help. If you're someone who wants to come in, punch the clock, follow the rules and head home -- you're going to have a hard time succeeding here and being happy...

Keep staying transparent and the open door policy - I've never been so comfortable approaching a CEO / management team with ideas or concerns

Heavy emphasis on employee failure which tend to overshadow employee accomplishment
Feedback and comp reviews given only to employees who aggressively engage manager for them, versus automatically on cadence
Heavy micromanagement
Lack of trust that employees are smart and will make good decisions
CEO and VP level managers create "sea of emergency" due to lack of strategic planning and conceptual strategy
Salary based not on employee skill and value but on management pressing you to negotiate down
Employees chastised for failures; management takes credit for successes
Budgets in constant adjustment due to lack of executive planning
Management pride / saving money more important than company success / spending money wisely to get to next seed round
CEO says one thing, changes mind days/weeks later and forgets what he said
CEO argues rather than negotiates
CEO suggests you have done something wrong or not thought something through rather than take personal accountability for running his company using management best practices
CEO talks out of both sides of his mouth - says one thing to your face, another to others behind closed doors
CEO unable to discern between "personal pride" and "corporate values"

I do not believe that advice coming from any person in the outside world will influence your decision in any way or save this company. You may want to ask yourself why all the good people leave and the fearful remain.

Smart, hard working, good people
I work here for the engineering squad. Technically sound, humble/low egos, patient problem solving, and all in all a fun place to come to work. Also, everyone seems to be good at ping-pong. Paid time off policy treats you like an adult which is rare/special.
This is a startup and has problems that come with being a small company. You need to step up and own the problem space. If you wait for solutions to be handed to you, go work somewhere else.

Great people, great atmosphere, great opportunity
We're building something that matters -- no vaporware here, and the market is responding accordingly! The open office layout is conducive to team interaction and there are always opportunities to take on new challenges. Also, the company has a unlimited vacation policy so as long as you're getting your work done the work : life balance is awesome.
The work environment demands results, there are a lot of dependencies but I suppose that is always the case in a startup situation.
