First off, the staff is amazing and is a major part of the reason the company is so successful. The teamwork at ShipHawk is astounding to watch and sets a great example for how all teams should work. They are flexible with your hours and very understanding when it comes to special circumstances. Not only will you learn about a special trade (shipping), you will also develop professional and social skills relevant to any field, or even make a friend. The friendly and relaxed atmosphere was one of my favorite things personally because there is music playing in the office and causal day everyday. This makes the work environment more fun and motivating as a result. I would recommend working at this company for anyone who has the opportunity because this is an amazing learning experience. Not only do you feel like your work actually makes an impact, but the transparency of leadership and collaborative nature of the team makes coming to work so easy. With the fast-paced environment that comes with any start-up, there is plenty of room to expand on different skills and areas of interest and great coworkers to help support you. Working at a startup means you must be able to adapt to change at anytime. They were very supportive of my desire to grow professionally. It's a very dynamic work environment that keeps you on your toes (it never gets boring here!) Can't say much I don't like.
