But SigFig in 2021 is poised for success and bursting with potential. Our partnerships have never been stronger, our deal pipelines are bursting at the seams, and our people are all-hands-on-deck keeping up with the growth we’re experiencing. There’s a real sense here, organization-wide, that SigFig turned a corner and has emerged in a very strong position: we have a new product that is gaining traction and a fresh approach to an older product that’s already showing signs of success. We also have a great mix of long-term employees who’ve built a strong culture, coupled with some new hires who’ve brought in tremendous energy. Our growth trajectory feels tangible and achievable. Our leadership acts ethically and with integrity, and we’re more focused than ever on delighting our customers with our products. There are real bandwidth and capacity challenges right now, but that’s a symptom of good problems, not bad problems. And it seems like we’re on our way to solving many of those issues in early 2021. 1.0 POSITIVE 1.0 APPROVE 2.0 5.0 4.0 5.0 5.0 4.0 5.0 888396 Open We need a fresh mission and vision, and a renewed external brand, that reflects the true direction of our organization, as well as more top-down enthusiasm and energy for what we’re working on. We need to keep elevating the standards of our work so we aren’t missing deadlines/running fire drills. Let’s harness all the momentum we have to build our company to the best it has ever been. 0.0 [] REGULAR No Yes 1.0 Apr 19th, 2021 06:24PM Apr 19th, 2021 06:24PM SigFig Financial Services

private:sigfig https://www.glassdoor.com?employer_id=888396 Mar 18th, 2020 12:00AM Open Open SigFig QA Engineer San Francisco, CA SigFig is a great place to work as a QA engineer Overall, I really enjoy working at SigFig. Most of the people are great, the problem space and solutions we're building are interesting, and the work-life balance is great. Interesting Work I've tackled satisfying problems that made me grow as an engineer. This included revamping legacy services as well as building greenfield consumer-facing products. Good People Engineering and business teams have treated me like a member of the team rather than just "a tester". QA is respected and sits in during feature intake. I don't get flack when I want to take time off or need to wfh. Honest Leadership Contrary to the negative reviews on here, I've never felt like the leadership is misleading or unreachable. The all-hands is free-form so you're allowed to ask difficult questions anonymously and they're always answered without any BS spin. The org structure is quite flat which is great too. Compensation I feel as if the compensation is a bit lower than what you'd get at a FAANG company but it's higher than my past three startups. I am genuinely pretty satisfied. Partner Overreach I am clear on what the vision of the company is but I find that too often, the partners dictate too much of what we end up doing. They're the number one cause of scope creep and delayed deadlines. Over-reliance on Internal Tools The team works on over-engineering basic problems that could easily be solved with third party solutions. For example, we built up our own data aggregation service instead of using Plaid, Yodlee, or Quovo. We recently started using Splunk for logging and it's been great! Unstructured Meetings I make it a point to be prepared for every meeting with an agenda and key questions to ask. I would expect this from everyone else too. 1.0 POSITIVE 1.0 POSITIVE 1.0 APPROVE 0.0 5.0 4.0 5.0 5.0 4.0 4.0 888396 Open Given the COVID-19 outbreak and the fact that the markets are tanking, you need to go out of your way to reassure your employees. private:sigfig https://www.glassdoor.com?employer_id=888396 Mar 7th, 2020 12:00AM Open Open SigFig Software Engineer Singapore Some of my most enriching years I joined SigFig's Singapore office out of university, as a member of the backend team. Some of the pros are: 1. I was fortunate to work in the Singapore office, with some of the most motivated, talented and hard-working people I've ever worked with. 2. My manager continuously sought out opportunities for me to grow in terms of technical skills, project management skills, general organizational skills. This helped me build relationships with key stakeholders in all the SigFig offices (San Francisco/Delhi/Calgary/Tucson). 3. There's great emphasis placed on ownership and teamwork, it's a high trust environment where I was enabled to do some of my best work. Engineering/QA/TPM's were very aligned on goals and appreciate it when others go above and beyond the call of duty. 4. SigFig encourages employees to socialize outside of work/travel together and I've made some of my closest friends at the company. 5. I travelled a fair amount of SigFig and got the opportunity to have lots of new, interesting experiences through working there. 6. I knew the C suite quite well and they're very approachable and motivated. 1. Sometimes work/life balance can take a hit but this isn't the case throughout the year. 2. Hiring can be improved, sometimes we've hired people who have a different work culture/aren't equipped with the necessary skills. 1.0 POSITIVE 1.0 POSITIVE 1.0 APPROVE 0.0 5.0 4.0 5.0 5.0 4.0 5.0 888396 Open 0.0 [] REGULAR No No 4.0 Apr 19th, 2021 06:24PM Apr 19th, 2021 06:24PM SigFig Financial Services

People are ready to help each other, to figure out solutions to problems. 1: HR team can do better to promote culture and values within the organization and also publicize to attract more talents into the company. 1.0 POSITIVE 1.0 POSITIVE 1.0 APPROVE 0.0 4.0 4.0 4.0 4.0 4.0 4.0 888396 Open 0.0 [] REGULAR No Yes 2.0 Apr 19th, 2021 06:24PM Apr 19th, 2021 06:24PM SigFig Financial Services
private:sigfig https://www.glassdoor.com?employer_id=888396 Aug 29th, 2019 12:00AM Open Open SigFig Anonymous Employee Run, Don't Walk... Beautiful office in North Beach, great location. (Overly) Generous perks and benefits. Flexible WFH policy - many employees don't even show up to work or work at all. Senior Management is inexperienced, immature and at times, delusional. Tons of nepotism related to the CEO's family members and friends being given high level roles that they are not qualified to hold. These same individuals are allowed to remain in their roles and are even promoted - despite poor performance and displaying harassing, discriminatory and extremely inappropriate/hostile workplace behaviors; that create a ridiculously toxic work environment for all those who work here. New Chief People Officer - who many pinned high hopes on turning cultural problems around - has displayed nothing but dishonesty and pandering towards employees, both in All Hands Meetings and individual 1:1's. Huge letdown. Products/initiatives are based on old views/ways of doing things and not innovation/data driven approaches. Most decisions seem to be made on the emotion/personal favoritism rather than facts and logic. Employees are not given tools/agency to succeed in their roles. Very high turnover (that Senior Management spends a lot of time and effort unsuccessfully trying to convince the rest of the company is normal). -1.0 NEGATIVE -1.0 NEGATIVE -1.0 DISAPPROVE 8.0 1.0 5.0 1.0 1.0 2.0 1.0 888396 Open Resign - and bring in an experienced C-Suite. 0.0 [] REGULAR No Yes 2.0 Apr 19th, 2021 06:24PM Apr 19th, 2021 06:24PM SigFig Financial Services

I think management realizes this, which is why they're developing new products, but then you need good people to actually create those products. I don't want sound bitter, I am very thankful for having worked at SigFig, but I know I worked crazy hard and contributed a lot - but got laid off - while there are others who don't really contribute but were not laid off, which makes me think there's something wrong with the employee evaluation system, at least on the engineering team. 0.0 [] REGULAR No No 4.0 Apr 19th, 2021 06:24PM Apr 19th, 2021 06:24PM SigFig Financial Services
