Though the team is still great, after an acquisition the company went downhill fast. Managers promoted who are ill equipped. Complete lack of competent HR person and new CEO. As a culture, everyone got along and had fun at company events. Leadership of the organization is very unorganized. The founders left a few years back after an acquisition and since then, it’s been a big mess. They promoted local managers from within that weren’t equipped for the roles. Micromanaging, Office politics, communication breakdowns, complete lack of individual autonomy, feast/famine workflow all stemming from a lack of leadership skills in the recently promoted managers running the local office. The people that started this company exemplify such values every day and show true care and concern for the team and customers and that trickles down throughout the organization. There are no "cons" as long as you are motivated to work hard, grow in your skills, and contribute your best. One of my favorite parts about the company and leadership is the intentional focus on the overall mission - to "empower people to change the world by making it simple to organize groups." That mission is embedded in every team, project and process. I love the emphasis on simplicity for the sake of empowerment, and I get to see the fruit of this helpful tool every day! The people are all in with their work, which makes it so much more enjoyable to work toward a common vision. Since it's a smaller company, there are not as many perks that come with working at a large organization (primarily career development/opportunity for advancement).
