The team really strives to sell good products based on consumers needs and market dynamics. Coworkers are welcoming, competent and eager to work together towards a common goal. Leadership down the line practices severe micromanagement. Great people are hired, however every decision and intention are raked over the coals. It's demotivating to even the most engaged team members. When sales decline the blame game begins and everyone is on edge and fearing layoffs. Teammates are regularly working late evenings and weekends just to keep up with the demands across all functions. That's not normal and not even appreciated. The diversity here is questionable with recently a handful of POC abruptly leaving the organization. Why so many in such a condensed space of time? private:simplemills https://www.glassdoor.com?employer_id=2229548 Feb 28th, 2022 12:00AM Open Open Simple Mills Would never recommend workin here Coworkers, flexibility, half days on fridays - Zero support for employees and their development - EXTREMELY intense environment, it's like a breeding ground for anxiety/imposter syndrome - Retention is so bad.. mass exodus feels like it's always happening, no one stays more than 2 years and its obvious why - DEI is pathetic and just a buzzword, they are the first to speak out in situations to gain IG followers and create "task forces" but if you take a look at their employees it says it all... Maybe 1% of employees could be considered diverse so not sure how they can claim it as a priority - Leadership is the biggest con and the reason why I would not tell my worst enemy to work here: - Leaders are in a different world than the rest of the company with abstract expectations that are not well communicated. Company that really cares about its people, and has good intentions. Seriously impressive people. High expectations of its people. People who care about our food system. Team has added a lot of senior leaders over the years. High growth company with a lot of opportunities. Unlimited PTO, great benefits. High growth company (pro & con), requires a lot of hard work, sometimes long hours. Lots of change.
