On the outside, looks stable and long term. It seemed the company did things overall and had a good but vague company statement.
|
Everyone seemed wary and closed. Like they were happy just to get their salary and shut up and not ask questions. Couldn't figure out where the company was really going or what we were doing. No real enthusiasm or interest.

Senior management team have very established track histories in (1) global energy sector development and financial and (2) investing, capital raising and financial structuring. Company has blue chip investor base, including private equity and institutional investors (in particular high profile foundation / endowment investors).

Investment portfolio suffered some drag from weakness in international carbon markets, though management structured the business model to successfully navigate the difficulties of around 2010-2012. Inclusion of junior staff in the development of the business model was lacking historically; however management has prioritized addressing this point via an in-depth consultation and communication process. As in most private equity roles, working hours are often long particularly due to frequent working on transactions / teams across multiple time zones.

A growing company with excellent portfolio of projects and lots of interesting people to work with. Management team are experts in their respective field and some of the most clever people I have ever worked with.
|
As with new companies in a relatively new industry, 'growing pains' are expected but it's good to see that any issues are swiftly spotted and dealt with.

Sindicatum is a relatively young, fast growing company that offers great opportunities for its staff.
The Singapore office is a very friendly place and has a supportive and vibrant atmosphere. Senior management/ team leads are keen to help the more junior staff develop professionally and there is also a fairly flat organisation structure so although Sindicatum cannot offer a career advancement path that is equivalent to those at large corporates, employees benefit from being able to voice their views to management directly and from being given challenging work that helps them develop their skills sets.

Working for a fast growing company with global operations means that a high level of commitment, including lots of travel, is expected from some team members. The opportunities for travel may be a plus for some but may deter others.

Terrible Management and depressing environment
|
|
Compensation package is slightly above market rate and middle management and employees are dedicated, driven and pleasant to work with.
|
The company promises a lot when you are first hired but it does not deliver on any front. There is no opportunity for recognition and growth within the company. The aims/targets of the company change every quarter and bad internal communication makes it hard to understand where the company is heading. Top Management should be changed altogether.

- Strong on sustainabililty, the company has a very good business model and is trying to contribute to a safer, cleaner, healthier and more sustainable planet. Employer is fair on pay and opportunity, with a very capable team around the world

Need to be very committed because the job can be demanding at a pesonal level, this is in part due to the fact that the company operates in many locations around the world and has operational clean energy projects on 3 continents
