Run from this Company Discounted services; that is literally it. The CFO, Jerry Brandy, is a misogynistic man who belittles and berates the females who work for him at a company geared to empower women, ironically! He will pay you insultingly low hourly rates ($15-20/hour depending on how "close" to him you are) despite years of education and experience and falsely offer you commissions and raises. Don't ask about those though! Even if you bring in thousands of dollars daily in revenue! If you do he will fire you and surprise! There is a 2 year non-compete he will force you to sign that will illegally prohibit you from working within a 30 mile radius of Pittsburgh and if you prove that the non-compete is unenforceable (which it is) after spending a ton of money on a lawyer, they will then contact all competing business, along with any other company you go to work for, and attempt to blacklist you and keep you from working. Don't believe me? Call any Med Spa in the greater PGH area and ask if they'll employ you after working for the Skin Center. Run far away from this company if you know what's best for you. It has provided me with a great opportunity to be a stay at home Mom but also have a few days in the office and enjoy the working world. I am able to prioritize my kids but love that I have the opportunity to work and set my schedule for being in the office and working from home. I really enjoy the work that I do at The Skin Center and also the people I work with. The Skin Center has been around for over 30 years so it is reassuring to be a part of a solid company that is well established and still growing. Flexible schedules make it very appealing and allowed for a great work/life balance. There was a lot of reporting but the why behind the reports was always explained. I now hold a Director level position and I credit The Skin Center for the training that enabled me to hold my current position. I did work some long hours but I watched the president working even longer hours, he did not expect anything from you that he wasn't willing to do himself. Great place to work! I started as a patient relations coordinator, front desk coordinator and was given the opportunity through out the years to grow my knowledge and position to Operations Manager. They were always fair, considerate of their employees and treated employees with respect. They became my family. The only reason why I am no longer still with The Skin Center is because of an out of state move. I would recommend The Skin Center to anyone who has the opportunity to join their team. As long as you are willing to put 100% effort into your position, they will pass it back and more.
