There is a passion behind most people who work there that is hard to find. Everyone had a "we're in this together" mentality and was scrappy, hard-working, creative and passionate in the pursuit of bringing people together and supporting artists. Sofar's culture has sadly drastically changed in the past 1.5 years, with a focus off of the community that built the company. The culture is not transparent, and employees receive wildly varying salaries with no clear understanding of how to get promotions or raises. The current leadership team has never actually put on a Sofar show, and is almost exclusively white and male. Very transparent and open about where Sofar is heading. Great to work with people all over the world who really believe in the mission to help artists connect with audiences. WFH before the virus hit. Get to wear a lot of hats and touch many parts of the business. Great people. Open WFH policy pre-corona, unlimited vacation. Network of people worldwide for when you travel Leadership is almost exclusively old white males making 2-4x what directors in cities are making.
