private:southerncaliforniapublicradio https://www.glassdoor.com?employer_id=436835 Oct 10th, 2019 12:00AM Open Open Southern California Public Radio Good group of people, but disorganized leadership People are nice and kind. You get to work either doing journalism or supporting journalism for the community, so you can feel good about that. Great for a public radio nerd. Good work life balance. Leadership seems disconnected to the people actually executing the work. Pay is below market for how many tasks you need to take on. Not a lot of streamlining of workflows. Lots of politics. New CEO's efficacy is questionable. -1.0 NEGATIVE 0.0 NEUTRAL 1.0 APPROVE 1.0 3.0 3.0 3.0 2.0 2.0 2.0 436835 Open 0.0 [] REGULAR No Yes 6.0 Apr 21st, 2021 08:34PM Apr 21st, 2021 08:34PM Southern California Public Radio

private:southerncaliforniapublicradio https://www.glassdoor.com?employer_id=436835 Apr 24th, 2019 12:00AM Open Open Southern California Public Radio Producer High journalistic standards, little room for growth SCPR is a great place to work if you have high journalistic standards. The organization takes great strides to inform the public in a responsible way, and the overall culture of the station is positive and nurturing . It's also great training ground for young journalists interested in hard news. There is little room for growth, whether you are a freelancer, intern, apprentice or even a producer/reporter. Employees and freelancers are given verbal praise to show they are valued. But there isn't enough action to promote or hire them within the organization. 0.0 4.0 5.0 5.0 3.0 4.0 0.0 436835 Open 0.0 [] REGULAR No No 0.0 Apr 21st, 2021 08:34PM Apr 21st, 2021 08:34PM Southern California Public Radio

Great work environment, leadership, and benefits. President, Board and Senior Leadership and Staff care deeply about the success of this treasured institution. Everyone at KPCC is very committed to serving the public and fulfilling the mission of the organization. It can be challenging for some departments and their interaction with the parent organization. However, this is a minor challenge. 1.0 POSITIVE 1.0 POSITIVE 0.0 5.0 5.0 5.0 4.0 4.0 4.0 436835 Open 0.0 [] REGULAR No No 20.0 Apr 21st, 2021 08:34PM Apr 21st, 2021 08:34PM Southern California Public Radio

Demanding, challenging work. Good team I worked with. Overall management was ineffective. private:southerncaliforniapublicradio https://www.glassdoor.com?employer_id=436835 Feb 9th, 2017 12:00AM Open Open Southern California Public Radio It depends what you're seeking Colleagues are very nice - that atmosphere is well-fostered. The company's mission is a good one - but not necessarily achieved in ways it should be. On the Content side of the operation, there are a lot of junior-level employees so the opportunity for mentorship or learning is limited if you're reaching mid-career level. 0.0 4.0 4.0 4.0 2.0 3.0 4.0 436835 Open 0.0 [] REGULAR No Yes 0.0 Apr 21st, 2021 08:34PM Apr 21st, 2021 08:34PM Southern California Public Radio
private:southerncaliforniapublicradio https://www.glassdoor.com?employer_id=436835 Dec 6th, 2016 12:00AM Open Open Southern California Public Radio Great Place to Work / Family Feeling Smart, exciting, intelligent people work at SCPR / KPCC. This is a great place for those who move quickly and want to make a difference in journalism. As with any non-profit, revenue can fluctuate from year-to-year making it difficult to grow the organization. However, SCPR has done a terrific job of managing growth over the years. 1.0 POSITIVE 1.0 POSITIVE 0.0 4.0 5.0 5.0 3.0 4.0 5.0 436835 Open Make sure you continue to develop talent so that folks don't leave. 0.0 [] REGULAR No No 6.0 Apr 21st, 2021 08:34PM Apr 21st, 2021 08:34PM Southern California Public Radio
