For 12 hours minus your lunch and two breaks, you will be on a machine bagging zip ties. You have to constantly make sure that the zip ties are in good quality and when a machine can produce anywhere from 500-2500 a minute don't expect to get help. Especially when the machine produces bad parts. You will be right next to a plastic injection molding machine (look it up), it will get hot, you will be standing up all 12 hrs, your bagging machine will break causing you to get more backed up. Management will look at you like you're stupid because you cant bag zip ties at ludicrous speed. Look around the factory and you will see that anybody that is dating or family of management tend to have cushion positions such as QA/QC, lead operations or a manager themselves. These people will work your butt off and then get upset if you want to attend your kid's high school graduation! Attrition was so high in 2021 that it was common to see a person quit a day. The people that get hired are usually ones that won't get hired elsewhere because they're active users and get told that they don't drug tested here. My supervisor was great I liked working for him. The bad side is you have to walk on egg shells cause if one person in the plant that's been there for years don't like you everybody is out to get you. They management has they pick and chooses of who they hire back and whom they don't want back no matter the situation. It was also a great place for advancement. Management was awesome and made you feel like family. They helped work around your schedule. Benefits are amazing, some of the best I’ve had. Pay is awesome as well. They also do a lot of family events for their employees. Or even comes to work. It's a drag most days and management does little to none to inspire or motivate employees. The motto is "one Southwire" but if you're not wearing a suit and tie or working for home everyday you're more or less another brick in the wall. They throw taxed bonuses at you and that's nice but at times you wonder if it's really worth it if you're not happy.
