Great team but an uncoordinated and chaotic process
|
Do not work here if you are neurodivergent. Technician work involves continuous exposure to bright lights, very loud noise, and bad ergonomics. They run mostly off a philosophy of "go as fast as possible and maybe correct a mistake if it becomes devastating". It's chaotic, unpredictable, and sensorily overwhelming. Real work hours were not disclosed in the original job posting. Be ready for 50+ hours a week, a big helping of burnout, and a compromised sleep schedule.
Detailed feedback to engineering is often ignored. Sensed a certain amount of classism among engineers toward technicians as well.
Do some research and read more reviews before you consider applying.

What is the best part of working at the company?
The best dispatcher I've worked with as a solo driver works at this company. They also didn't try to steal my escrow when I departed the company on good terms. They don't force loads on you and respects your biological needs.
What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
One of the dispatchers had a bad habit of calling during my sleep berth. I started texting a msg on Telegram to not wake me but his other bad habit was not checking the msg board.
What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Most of the people here have driving experience. which I really respect. They can look at a load and take note of details like weight and route and will schedule your next load at a reasonable time. Other dispatchers from other companies I worked for were completely clueless and annoyed me by always calling or texting for my eta.
What is a typical day like for you at the company?
They don't bother too much. You just have to show work ethics and skills and they'll leave you alone.

Typical day very productive, busy, fast ,pace work environment. I've work 6 days a week n holidays but pay was worth it. Supervisors on site all day around the clock, people that work there friendly but very determine focus. ..all assignments m task had to be monitored, sometimes done before shift ends. What I thought was very nice is sometimes the company would have special lunches which catered food to all staff n workers in the buildings to show appreciation for all our hard work. Even met few astronauts that would come to visit. Really Cool..no complaints. I really enjoyed working for them.

Very cool job
|
This was a very cool company to be a part of. Expect lots of overtime and weekend work. If you are a fan of rockets and space stuff you will be like a kid in a candy shop. If you are looking for the best paying job with best work/life balance you might want to look elsewhere. The team I worked with was hardworking and the supervisors and managers were great and helped you when you wanted to use your vacation time. There is a bit of a learning curve with the work but most other coworkers are willing to teach.

The more you know the better of you are here. One day u may be extracting a bolt out of an impossible place. The next Day you may be working on rocket engines. If you have a get it done mentality you will thrive here. Show up and produce results. Mess ups are expected and not punished as long as your honest 100 percent of the time. Great place to work.
