Spire is one of the first of only a few companies pursuing remote patient monitoring, and our solution is pretty darn slick compared to the status quo. We're a small company positioned to be able to make a big difference in the standard of care for certain respiratory diseases, which is incredibly rewarding. Being a small company, we're fairly flat, and your opinions matter and it's easy to make them known to the leadership. We don't fly by ego driven decisions, and constructive debate and disagreement is embraced. Also the people are great and the leadership is very open and transparent.

As a small company, timelines and resources can both be tight, which can be stressful at times. Although we've expanded quite a bit in the last couple of years, people still may have to wear more hats than they're used to. Official company social events aren't super regular (but they're fun when they happen!).

Really like the product and how it helps people to achieve calm and reduce tension. The co-founders understand and 'breathe' this philosophy which is one of the reasons I enjoy working there. We have daily meditation sessions. It's fun and exciting to work at a start-up focusing on helping people lead healthier lives. Some of the user reviews on Amazon talk about how Spire has changed their lives in terms of stress reduction, and how some people have stopped using medication.

It's a typical start-up with tight deadlines and limited resources and a lot to get done. Early revs of the first generation product got some challenging reviews due to bugs but the company has recovered well and the reviews on Amazon are showing that now.
