I started working SMT when things were simple. Clients were in large number but the respectful. The workers were great. The money was terrible but I made due. It's not too bad, just not the best it can be.

Job is fun because you are able to work in, and around sports. Leadership is not great, and they keep their cards very close to their chest. You are in left in the dark on many things. Takes many, many years to even be considered for full-time. Pay is not great, but that comes with the territory.

Hello, a typical day at Sportvision is quite a unique experience.
Sportvision is a provider of television graphics for live sporting events. It is a mixture of what we lovingly call here "jocks and nerds."
A work day here for me can range from working on production graphics in Photoshop/Illustrator, or 3d modeling in MAYA, to dressing up in a neon green suite to capture live motion video.
I have learned how to work in a fast paced environment and meet deadlines on a weekly sometimes daily basis. As part of an art department I have naturally learned to work in a team on projects.
Sportvision is a culturally diverse place to work and everyone gets along. Including our pets!
The hardest part about the job is the hours. Meeting deadlines means staying until the job is done and that can sometimes result in long days/nights. However, the most enjoyable part of the job is seeing the product that was created during those long days put to use at live sporting events.

Great work environment, people are not micro managed. Great managment, and personel all around.
|
No Benefits for contractors, and long commute from my current address.
