What is the best part of working at the company?
The people are nice and always willing to help
What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
There's a lot of gossip and a lack of accountability among senior leadership on issues. You can complain that something isn't working and propose solutions, but leadership will let the offenders continue to offend in the future. Also, SpotHero is more of a feature factory with a poor understanding of the problems they're solving.
What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Culture is really nice. People are helpful.
What is a typical day like for you at the company?
It varied from day to day. Sometimes coding, meetings, talking to peole, preparing decks, etc.

This was a great place to work and the culture was fantastic. Free weekly lunches and cool hangouts after hours. Upward mobility is great and pretty easy as long as you play the game right and get your stuff done.

I think SpotHero attempts to work hard to develop employees, unfortunately, the ever-changing leadership makes it hard to maintain this vision. As the company begins to rebound I hope they prioritize equitable pay for all departments and not just tech.

Employee First Company That Is Hurting The Bottom Line

SpotHero was a novel idea back in 2011-2015 when we were starting to see marketplaces evolve, however it has never grown from its original marketplace idea. Instead it continued to slowly iterate on the same strategy. What was created was an incredible cushy work experience where all employees were comfortable and the expectations were not that high. There were great perks and a huge emphasis on the people of the business.
Unfortunately, COVID unwound the parking business and SpotHero has been really hurt. They have lost some good people but in the end will be better for it cause the company was extremely bloated and lacking strategic direction.
