There were some really smart people who worked their, but most had left over the years.
|
Management was incompetent, lacked accountability, failed to heed feedback. Managers were left do what they want without adding any value to organization, most engaged in empire building to increase power and drive appearance of their own value. Directors of Trading and Research failed to provide any leadership, help employees grow, gain the respect of their teams, or add any value.

Overall, the management team was very strong. They had a lot expertise. I would be very clear what you would like an employee to build and how the person can evolve with the company 1, 5, 10 years in. That way you can keep top talent! Great job though you have made an excellent business.

Work is fairly straightforward with some opportunity to work on things that interest you within the goals of your group
Everyone is pretty friendly

Upper management is not sure what direction they want to go. The result is a myriad of half completed projects.
Forced to select all vacation days a year in advance with little to no opportunity to change them. Also not allowed to take days off when other team members are off.
horrible work life balance. Company expects you to be available all hours including nights and weekends after working a 40 hours or more in the office.

AGILE only works when there is a clear direction and more time is given to go back to the project during the next rotation. Releasing just to release causes more issues than it fixes.
