Great culture but don’t expect to move up
|
Unlike the typical company, there really is no upward movement here. They play favorites and if you aren’t one of them, don’t expect anything. The culture is fantastic - Friday bagels, holidays events, yearly picnic, etc. Marketing Assistant position is a customer service position. If you have chronic disabilities or pain, don’t apply as they have a nice sick day policy but once you use two days, they pull you into a meeting. If you need a pretty good paying job and you are healthy, apply.

Fun workplace but below average pay.

While this company tries its best to portray themselves as one of the best places to work, it falls short in certain areas. The work is consistent, it’s not super complicated and they do offer trainings. However, be warned, it’s very difficult to move up in departments as the departments are very small. There’s not a lot of room for growth and the pay is very below average. It just isn’t a livable wage. They will tell you about “incentives” such as free beer or free breakfast. But will stall when it comes to discussing actual growth and opportunities.

There were some perks to working at this company. Not a lot of great coaching, mentoring, or proper training. Mostly nepotism and old relationships are kept around and promoted.

They promote the leader figure instead of the boss one, but still need to improve that a lot. Also, since LATAM office wasn't the main one and the boss of the department is in the US, it's complicated when talking about management.

It was enjoyable to work at SproutLoud for the 5 1/2 years. There is a no jerk policy there so we all worked as a team to accomplish the goals of the company.
The managers I worked with were encouraging and great team leaders.
I will miss all my co-workers.
