Thoughtful & timely decisions are made that benefit all employees.
Those in leadership truly work with everyone, not just boss others around. They make decisions to help the whole team succeed, not just themselves.
The flexible work environment provided us with an easy transition to all working from home during the pandemic.
Working for a place that truly treats customers the way I would like to be treated supports the positive work environment.

The distance between offices is the only con I can think of... however, the ways we all stay in touch and look out for one another makes up for the lack of "face time" therefore, this isn't much of a con!

Owners and owner's family are rigid in how things should be. They do not listen to other ideas. It's their way or the highway. They act like it's a big happy family which it can be if you fall in line with their way.

So I've been working at Squaremouth now for 90 days. I would describe my employment experience as, hands down, the best!

When it comes to working at Squaremouth, the list of "Pros" about this job seems to be endless. My position in the company and the travel insurance field in general is truly dynamic and I absolutely love it.
Even though I work remotely, my co-workers in Florida, Indiana, and throughout the country are wonderful, helpful people that are honestly the best of the best in their respective positions throughout Squaremouth.
The cohesive, great, team atmosphere and has been obvious to me from Day 1. Immediately, I could tell that I was working for a extremely wonderful company. Squaremouth stands out to me as a company that values their employees; much more than any other I've ever worked for.

As far as "Cons" go, I've been trying to think of one or two. After much deliberation, I finally came up with one: Distance from the company boat 😁
I work remotely from Columbus, Ohio and Squaremouth is headquartered in St. Petersburg, Florida and I'd really like to get to know more of my co-workers in person eventually. The boat would just be the icing on the cake.

The company prides itself regarding transparency and they consistently hit the mark on that value. The people I work with are kind, personable and professional and that is carried throughout the teams and up through management. We are asked for our opinion or ideas on how to tweak the systems and procedures we work with everyday and those ideas are thoughtfully considered and then implemented when warranted, in order to make our jobs easier which shows that we are highly valued and that our voices matter.

The management within Squaremouth are very laid back, which is what I love. They give you all of the information you need to do your job and your also given ample enough time to work on your issues and assist the customer in a timely fashion.

It's not for everyone - Squaremouth functions like an early start-up, where everyone needs to work hard and fairly autonomously to be successful as individuals. If you're not willing to work, this isn't the job for you. That being said, it's the hard work that allows employees to have awesome perks and benefits, so not really a con!
