It is true that the people you work with make a huge difference! I haven't worked for a company where I like the people as much as I do here. They are good people and have great hearts. During the busy times they keep us sane. - Management: The hierarchy structure is not so much of a ladder. At the previous firm I worked for you did not get much interaction and opportunities as a staff to work with partners and principals. At SRG I get to work closely with them, especially the audit principal. - Knowledge: The partners and principals know their stuff. I work closely with the audit principal and have learned so much from him. He challenges us and wants us to learn. He takes care of his team and makes sure we know what we are doing and why we are doing it. - Exposure: to audit all accounts of a client, rather than being responsible for a few. At my last firm I was responsible for testing a few accounts due to the nature of our clients, so it was hard to grasp the big picture of how everything flowed. - Work/Life Balance: Excellent! I could not be any happier with the current work/life balance I have. They are flexible and understanding, and will work with you when personal things come up. - Variety of work: is superb. At some firms you have to choose between audit or tax, which can be tough for those who want diversity and more opportunities in their field. At SRG you get the opportunity to work on both, and even more. For example I work as an auditor, but got the opportunity to do some forensic work, and exposure to bookkeeping and tax work. - Training: Company holds in house CPE training on an array of topics. In-house CPE is conducted by employees of the firm, so this gives you the chance to practice your public speaking and presentation skills. The audit team's principal holds lunch & learns and meetings where we learn a lot! - Great benefits and perks! Medical, Dental, Vision, & 401k.
