The CEO didn't care about the employees at all

Everything else. I only worked there for a short time but man, this guy didn't care about his employees at all. It felt like his logic was if you don't have a degree, why should I pay you. If the employee is good at his/her job, pay them well.

- Contributions are put straight to production so first time developers will get experience to put on their resume pretty fast
- Very nice and helpful coworkers
- Culture is very chill and laidback. Personally, it was perfect for a college student
- Very flexible. I was able to go to school AND work AND have a second job at the same time without any problems.
- Company is very open to using newer technologies
- Your opinions are taken into consideration when working on a project instead of just overruled due to seniority
- Company has lots of potential so you'd be grandfathered in when they hit it big. (They most likely will)

- Really close to galleria so traffic can get bad

"Startup energy" means all hands wear multiple hats, "dynamic field" means constant changes in operating environment - so flexibility/constant adaptation/ability to switch gears a must, and IT security requires response 24/7. Not a job you can coast through.
