Great benefits, beautiful facility, wonderful co-workers, flexible with school schedule

Absolutely no communication. You can ask 4 people the same question and get 4 different answers. Scheduling is horrible! Always short staffed. They have no idea the toll it is taking on your mental, physical, and emotional health! You don’t feel acknowledged or appreciated. Your just a body to fill up a slot on the schedule.

Schedule further out than 2 weeks. Don’t short us on staff on the floor. Put the schedule out quicker than the last day left on current schedule. Communicate!!!! Clarify!!!! Don’t run us so thin. This causes people to quit and or call off excessively. Treat us as human beings and not just numbers.

I loved caring for the residents! I had great coworkers too.
|
Nurses are promised "benefits" upon hiring and HR does not follow through. I resigned after waiting 6 weeks, past my eligibility date, for medical benefits despite contacting HR 6 times.
Communication is poor with nursing. We were usually the last to hear about news/changes.

The residents here are treated well and have free range of the facility no lock down units. I love the walk of life that we do when a resident passes no one leaves out the back door like they are being disposed of secretly. This is one of the nicest homes I have ever seen and there are no smells and it's very clean.
There are no nurses eating their young everyone is helpful and I especially appreciate the fact the nursing supervisor trust your judgment when it come to your residents. Also we do not "HAVE" to get our own vitals we can ask our aides we just choose to do it ourselves but when you are basing your med pass off of a blood pressure you should be taking them anyway.

The CNA program was shut down once and they were almost shut down by state. I was only there for a month and I enjoyed it while I was there, but once I found out that the program was shut down I left
No communication
Cannot miss class unless you are sick,death of a family member or you are in the hospital. I couldn’t go for my orientation for college while I was in the class
Didn’t know when class would start or end
Made beds for 5 weeks then crammed all the information in three weeks
