Manager should be removed from the job title
Decent company with future potential. Field workers are some of the greatest. At the first level manager and below there is a strong bond of teamwork.
The company has lost its vision since the acquisition by Gridpoint. The company continues to hemorrhage money and without government subsidies or contracts the company will probably cease to exist as it does today.

Allow your subject matter experts in the field the ability to provide leadership and input into new and developing projects. All too often projects are invented in Houston and managed in Houston by personnel that have not or do not work in the field. Their results only hamper those that are doing the real work.

Run by selfish Thieves
It got me in the Energy Efficiency / Renewable Energy business. Their marketing is pretty good. Their calculators for energy efficiency and renewable energy are pretty good. What they "say" they'll deliver is good with supporting evidence that is viable.
Don't EVER expect to receive your commission. Don't EVER expect that the operational team will actually deliver a satisfied product or service based on what you sold to the customer. ALWAYS expect the customer to be disappointed. ALWAYS expect that upper-level management (just look at anyone who was at a C-Level in the company 1 year ago)... -always expect those shysters to be cooking the books to make the company look attractive to be bought out and to have your commission "magically" go away 6 months after you sold something, because of their "magical" expenses on the job. I want to give credit to the actual operations folks in the trenches. they're frequently doing their best, but under pressure to deliver in minimal time, without good management support for quality. NO good project management approach. It is almost ALWAYS a "sell'm a bill of goods, -get the money and run" approach, with NO REGARD for the employee. It's just a place to collect a TINY pay check and then suffer till you can find another job.

Gridpoint management (now in charge), fire ANY C-Level individual from the past to avoid lawsuits. Then get rid of any other management that got their job through family ties or some secret handshake instead of actual capabilities. But good and true to your customers and provide good level-headed quality control.

Good people.
Good communication from management. Very professional place to work. Employees are fairly compensated and treated with respect. High energy environment.
Company benefits are only decent. New management is changing the business model, and restructuring the company. Customer service could be better.

The new leadership should get more involved locally and better understand the importance of strong leadership. Things seem to be imploding. The acquisition of SRE was horribly executed.
