The students were great, motivated, and engaged. I enjoyed watching by students grow during the two years I had them. Watching them graduate was exciting, so was finding out they were hired in the new career. The dept I was assigned to was not supervised well. The immediate supervisor was unprofessional, used profanity in the classroom with students, and with staff in and out of the classroom. Was not consistent in treatment of students. Did not adhere to the teaching material in the text books and used antiquated teaching methods which did not prepare students for the work place. Constantly berated instructors in the presence of students. As a professional I chose not to return due to these circumstances I felt I could no longer work there. An educators primary function is to prepare students for a future, not to impart their personal opinions, bias, and theories. Very high turnover rate. In my two years there, the President of the college changed three times. I am not micro-managed, so appreciate that. Staff are helpful and go out of their way to provide tips.
