Decent technical exposure options when the boss isn't getting cheap. The staff tried to make the most of it much like the band on the Titanic. No advancement path unless someone leaves. Management will make tonnes of promises and when it comes time to deliver on them they will be unable to for budget reasons, but they did get new BMWs so guess that's where the training budget went. private:stasmayer-3 https://www.glassdoor.com?employer_id=926135 Jul 29th, 2017 12:00AM Open Open Stasmayer Fun, Hip place to work, just not long term •You get exposure to many different technologies. •Vast clientele with different issues which can help you develop and hone your troubleshooting skills. •If given the chance to move around and away from the help desk your only real options are Net Admin and Projects, this is based on the managers decision to put you where they see fit regardless of your own goals. •The people are great and love to have fun. •There is a semi-team atmosphere, pretty much you get in where you fit in. •There is a Mandatory Friday training on various subjects from technical to customer service. •a chance to travel to remote sites •the tiered escalation process •the dispatch system works very well •you will be asked to wear many hats •the sales team is very good a closing on new clients. •morning huddles are 15 mins long and are only there to go over the previous days metrics i.e. Tickets closed, escalations and surveys received •morning huddles aren't used productively i.e. Discussing real issues that a team could come together and resolve •management will put you or keep you in the position THEY want you, regardless of your personal goals. •when hired they talk about room for growth, very bogus statement. If moved to projects or net admin, that's as far as you go,. So learn, learn, learn everything you can. •The handbook states, they do not give cost of living raises and raises are based on performance, which is measured by the predetermined metrics, via a playbook. •the company does not recognize self growth which contradicts that raises are based on performance, so don't expect yearly raises. •when a large client is "At Risk," of leaving, the president(lead salesman) of the company will go on a rant about how much money the "company"(he) is losing and will have to cut the company in half just to keep the company afloat. When he set unreal expectations from the initial sales meeting with the client. •The once a month 7am meetings are used to tell everyone how close they were to giving raises or considerable bonuses to everyone, but we have to crunch the numbers to verify, then re-crunch those numbers the. Leadership team is not in the office once a month. Owners and Management are extremely disorganized and forgetfull which makes for a stressful workplace most of the time. They contract out their HR department which wouldn't be so bad except they are NOT unbiased and are difficult to reach most of the time. They are "in bed" with the owners and management so be prepared to have them against you. If you have an issue you can't go to them as they will also throw you under the bus. Zero work-life balance unless you are part of their click then you will be treated differently and given leeway when needed. Favoritism is a big part of their culture. Bottom line: If you aren't in their click you won't last long. (You may not want to anyway) High employee turnover rate. You can be working side by side with someone for several months and a day later someone new is in your former co-workers seat. There very disorganized, If your not in the buddy group, prepare to get fired for the simplest thing. Hr is apart of their crew, and will take management side, instead of being just and fair. You can't trust anyone there, because if you disagree with one thing they will turn on you. If your a female, please RUN. They will act like their concern about, you but there only using it fuel to blackmail you. This is the worst company to work for, they are a lawsuit waiting to happen. Diverse client load and problems kept you on your toes. Leaving there led most of us to higher paying less stressful jobs. Work life balance for the higher tier techs doesn't exist you are always on call. Expectations change daily. Sales \ account management will sell products and projects without talking to the technical staff and then wonder why their where problems with implementation. There is a reason 3/4 of your senior technical staff left and the clients noticed. Team environment. I liked working with my peers and getting to know them on a regular basis. Company doesn't care about its employees. Executives don't come to work and blame everyone else for the company's poor management.
