Makes government work better, not overly stressful. Hours are flexible and seldom over 37.5/week, and it's roughly 50% remote (after the pandemic). Also, the benefits are very good.

Advancement options can be slim, and we're going on a second year with pay freezes, due to reduced tax revenue from the pandemic. Even in the best of times, pay is probably lower than what you can get elsewhere.
