Great team with growing improvement

Last year the team went through huge changes for the better with new structures, quality and no more always night deployments. Our squad has been building new features and taking down tech debt. We have dedicated time to learn every sprint and try new things. Everyone is friendly, we do hackathons and socials together. This is the best I’ve seen the team since I have been here

I don’t think our engineering team has any cons besides having lots of work to do.

Good People, Bad execution

I think most people mean well at Statflo, and it's a pleasant place to work.
|
I would 100% agree with some other reviews. Statflo can't execute. They sell a lot of dreams, then 1 year later, it's an entirely new set of dreams, with the previous dreams thrown in the trash quietly - the result being a new coat of paint for the app and still all existing issues underneath. Due to this changing refocus, sales have fallen, many layoffs had to occur, and there is little hope of a rebound.

Statflo was a great company but not anymore. If I have to highlight some good things that would be remote work and fair compensation
|
The company has experienced two layoffs within a year, resulting in a significant reduction in the workforce from over 70 employees to just over 40 employees. The management has demonstrated a lack of maturity and decision-making skills. Statflo can be likened to a sinking boat, where external assistance seems futile. Although management has attempted various strategies to sustain the company, these efforts have mostly proven unsuccessful. Recently, they made a significant change to the application's theme, neglecting the crucial aspects of security and performance. However, due to severe financial constraints, the company is struggling to hire suitable individuals or retain the existing workforce. If you are seeking a fulfilling career with opportunities for professional growth, it is advisable to explore other options. Despite expressing optimism after the first layoff, the company unexpectedly underwent a second round of layoffs just ten months later. Presently, they are once again presenting a rosy picture, but it is prudent not to buy into false promises. It would be in your best interest to leverage your skills elsewhere.
