The parent company can be difficult to work with. Colliding strategies and perspectives have caused a segmented feeling amongst the parent and other subsidiaries.

Running into the ground.

Flexible hours and interesting products/services.

Horrible vendor relationships. They purposely do not pay bills and have been cut off from even the most basic things. There is excessive internal division and poor leadership which makes it impossible to work effectively towards any vision or goal with any sort of reasonable deadline.

Poor executive leadership. Some great employees (for now...)
|
|
-Relaxed work environment.
-Most middle management is great.
-Exposure to a lot of different roles and responsibilities (for better or for worst).
|
-Top executives are out of touch with the reality of working at a startup, and are major problems for efficient operating.
-No accountability for executives or employees in leadership positions, creating a roadblock for any progress made by junior staff.
-Out of toner? Out of luck. There's no operations manager/coordinator/administrative assistant.
-All the good employees leave... for good reason.
-Inferior compensation for those who are not in leadership positions.

Laid Back Environment , casual dress code, 3 Weeks of Vacation time per year, Public transportation reimbursement.

Unorganized- no formal processes or procedures, lacking communication, poor reporting structure.
Multiple layoffs caused employees to take on excessive responsibilities and become over worked. No review process and no raises.
Building is infested with bugs.
A lot of "office drama"; lots of employees who take things personal and retaliate - Makes for an uncomfortable working environment.

The executives should hire an experienced operations manager that can create some structure for the company. Instead of doing rapid layoffs then rehiring the same employees at a later date, think through decisions to restructure.
