Most people are very nice and the night crew is the best. Some ladies who work in the morning can be rude since they’ve been there for years on end but other than that it’s a great place. Depending on your department, the people are mostly very friendly and helpful. The administration and management, however, are terrible to deal with. This alone makes it difficult for social interaction to take place since we are lazy by nature and don't want to cover great distances especially in the cold. Along with its size, Stony Brook University really is in the middle of nowhere. Suffolk County suffers for multiple reasons one of which is its size and distance from everything else.
