Good company
|
Work life balance is good. Good work if the employee is into storage domain. Other than this there are no advantages of working in this company. Thanks.

High-tech startup just coming to market. Great products & technology

It is a company that is just getting off the ground and has great people from the top down. Hard to say what a typical day was like because everything is changing rapidly.

They said that everything was going great and we should expect big stock options then everyone was fired . . . . in December!

Complete lack of support and resources
|
Complete lack of support and resources. Unwilling to make the product better. They are fine with the status quo and don't want to have a competitive product. They are fine being a 'low cost' low end solution.

Its an ok place
|
They aren't hiring...they are doing more laying off than anything. Its not really for a man who is family oriented if you value family time. I got hours sometimes....sometimes i didn't...you'll have to work there for you to understand where i'm really coming from.

good place to work, running like a startup

I have been here for a few months now and the team is very talented. The company is still running like a startup. They are having growing pains typical of a startup

Productive and fun place to work - great food.
|
Overall, Nexsan is a great place to work. The quality management system is young and was implemented near the end of 2012. Was brought into Nexsan to help finish implementing and enforcing the ISO quality management system, to incorporate and ANSI-S-2020 ESD system, design, build, and incorporate a failure analysis lab, and to manage several manufacturing and packaging projects. Managed the MRB system and am the process owner of the corrective and preventive action system. Provided company ISO process training to employees. Most of the people here were new to the ISO Quality Management System but were eager to learn what it was all about. Generated and implemented Q-Alerts.
A typical work day would include reviewing assignment progress versus completion expectations from above, performing safety inspections of equipment, collecting and charting data, performing level 2 and 3 failure analysis of production and field returns. Designing and executing FA test plans and generate failure reports. Issue internal and supplier CAPA as required. Manage the Failure Analysis lab, product throughput, and chart results. Chair the internal and external global QA meetings. Generate and maintained the Global QA Action Item Log. Perform stock purge when and where required. Disposition failed production items during the twice weekly MRB meeting.
|
Enjoy the relationships with all of the people, great meetings. For the most part Nexsan was a fun place to work
|
No real cons.

Productive and Support
|
I have had a proven track record involving all engineering and manufacturing phases. My responsibilities have ranged from coordinating and incorporating the engineering change notices, specifications, blue print drawings, in addition to generating new part numbers to structuring the bill of materials. Also, training new employees on the revision control system and implementing the department to a paperless environment.
The hardest part of my job; not having enough license accounts to allow employee to access the database which causes many mistakes. Many employee assume the documentation is correct instead of asking for validation prior to using. Lack of communication.
The most enjoyable part of my job are;
Team players and communication which results to great quality products.
