Try not to get stuck in the Rear Echelon mentality that a lot of growing companies get trapped in. Remember that without taking care of your people in the front you lose more of them, when your front line isn’t properly cared for this will eventually trickle back to the rear (or in this case the C-Suite). You have a well trained Salesforce up front that’s ready and willing to bring you as much business as you want and need. Make sure their being fed and their families are too. The grunts of any organization are the lifeblood ultimately and while true we need the support of our ops teams and customer service you can’t win a war if the ones doing the face to face fighting are being worn down and not given ample opportunity to grow, get better equipment and most importantly being fed. You want to create schedules around the best contact rates for our clients which is understandable, but you can’t be doing that by sacrificing those who have been committed too you under an “old” schedule. Don’t save a penny on contact rates for your leads by losing dollars on a good consultant walking away. When you invest in your front line they too want to invest in you. When you give your troops the ability to voice opinions and provide solutions you let them make themselves committed to your mission with out you needing to convince them to be.
