Sullivan leadership has been in place for an extremely long time. They are an example of why everyone should beware of "family" type companies. The newest hires are given the most and lowest level work, and there is no where to go for support because all of leadership has each other's back and you will always be wrong even when you are not. Sullivan also technologically behaves likes it's 2008 making it extremely frustrating for young employees. We have to adhere to asinine archaic processes because they don't want to learn how to simply share a Google Doc. Overt incivility and bullying behavior was repeatedly excused, even rationalized. Senior management openly badmouths their underlings, support staff, freelancers, former employees, clients, and each other. Boundaries and priorities outside the firm like health or family earn you demerits and if the wrong person so much as imagines you’ve made a mistake you’re as good as toast until you leave or get fired. From the recruiting process to 4 months in at the company, everyone has been happy to answer my questions about work culture, goals, client work, and more. I started my job remotely and when I was transitioning to the hybrid model, I was slightly intimidated to work in an office where everyone already knew each other. However, everyone was kind and friendly in reintroducing themselves to me in person, even though we met over Zoom, which helped me out alot! - The work I've done so far has been challenging yet rewarding! Every project I've been put on has been different , making each day at work exciting (If you love problem solving, you will thrive here). I also have gotten to know my client and their work really well, making each project feel more meaningful than I expected. My team cares a lot about the work they produce, which makes me more motivated and proud to play a part. - The quality of life is amazing! In addition to the hybrid work model, fun work environment, and in-office snacks, there is such an inspiring mindset among all my coworkers. Everyone is willing to learn, take risks with their work, and think differently. We are encouraged to think outside the box and share our thoughts in meetings, no matter our job position. - You dive right into client work rather than undergoing a long onboarding process, which can be an adjustment upon starting. I ended up preferring this as I like to learn by doing. HR and the people team put together great events to bring the focus back to the culture, making employees feel valued. I have never felt more unseen and disrespected at the workplace. Jokes on senior management. There was absolutely no proper training from the start, you are getting thrown into fire. I cried almost every day after work because of how condescending the manager was being for every mistake I made. Absolutely no diversity. They are proud to be a women-owned business but 99% of senior management is white.
