There is a good ol boys system on the corporate side. Sometimes roles are created just to keep people around, not based on performance. They implement new systems at a very slow pace. No change management for projects. Small teams so a lot of work gets contracted out to vendors. Due to there being small teams, you’re expected to wear many hats. There are literally only 3 people total for critical teams like Information Security and Networking.
