Working as a student worker at SUNY Geneseo can be good or bad depending on what job you get there. I worked at the gym and it was great because of the minimal amount of work you have to do and the laid back nature of the staff and manager. Other positions seem to be bad

This is a great segue into staying active and contributing to teacher training after retirement! I believe that my student teachers were receptive to my support and acknowledged such at the end of the semester with notes of appreciation and requests for recommendations.

I love working/studying with SUNY Geneseo students! Great peers. I learned lots as a classroom instructor. I trained tens of students in stat and data science. Management/leadership needs more experience and vision. Micromanagement is not supportive of diverse richness.

With the help of the secretary and other professors, the job expectations were clearly laid out in front of me and helped me to see my primary use around the office, it was a positive environment which although stressful at times only mirrored the intensity of the work being expected to do a more than adequate job.

Great job for a student to have. Staff is very understanding of scheduling and classes/other extracurriculars. You learn a lot from being on the job, not so much from the one day of training you get. Overall Great experience.
