Poor management and racist culture

It was remote during the pandemic.

The egos of upper management are huge, to the point where the founder Holly called President's Day a "Holly-Day" when she decided at the last minute to allow a day off for it. The woman running the marketing department micromanages everything to feel relevant, all while sabotaging good work in order to foster her racist attitude. Anyone with an ounce of humanity and decency, I advise you to stay away from this company.

-generally speaking the people are great, the culture definitely is a bit clique-y but it's a unique and rewarding culture -mission and product are great
|
- management is not great, the company has grown too fast for current management to keep up. The company used to really care about the new hires and their fit but that fell off and it you can see the impact - no work life balance - compensation is not competitive

From start to end unprofessional. The executive team is quite green and has no idea how the business here works. Not to mention the lack of support when needed. They give you no training, and if they do, it’s a training deck that you have to review on your own time. There is no gratis, and it’s a complete joke. They require you to use your personal cell phone data to manage two different platforms to run the daily business. Never in my career have I ever seen anything like this, where you do not get reimbursed for the use of your own cell phone. The amount of times that my phone would end up dead due to using one of the platforms that just eats up your battery and your data. Don’t do it unless you want to spend money of your own on a business that is making more than enough to support you. They will use you and dispose of you whenever needed and tell you that it’s all about structural changes, only to see that they’ve re-posted your position. If you want something that is going to be on your résumé, this is not the job for you. Great for someone who has no morals and no values whatsoever. Be careful.
