The pay seems acceptable for the task they describe you will be doing but don't be fooled. You get yelled at by clients, work is neverending during season but you are underpaid compared to other companies. Don't expect grow within the company as management hinders growth.

Workplace Culture

Working at Sureprep gave me a sense of new insight regarding the nature of data entry/administrative duties and the workplace culture. Sort of reminds me of being in class or school yet at the same time being given responsibilities and tasks pertaining to real life. Although there are times where you can feel overwhelmed by the workload as you are required to meet 2,000 pages daily or 200 pages per hour to be exact...you can feel a sense of liberation due to the nature of the job. To push through the day you can remind yourself there are other tasks or jobs with much harder demands (physical labor for example). I think the most overwhelming nature would be learning the process and different wizards but after you get passed that hurdle everything seems to go by smoothly. Sometimes you might surprise yourself at even going passed the daily minimum quota once or twice a week. The management is on point and the instructions and guidance of the more advanced tax verifyers are very insightful when you need someone to refer to. For the most part, the leads are very nice and respectful.

Lead members are very helpful while we employees have questions on tax data. It’s office work environment which I enjoy a lot because we just on the computer verifying data. It’s a plus because this job experience will look good on a resume.

Laid back but stressful
|
It's laid back in which you can wear jeans everyday. The supervisor team yells all day to get you to work faster and harder, which can be stressful at teams. You rush to get to work, rush to work, your rush to break for two 10 minute breaks and a 30 minute lunch. It's just a rush day in the job. Be prepared. It's good for college students and people starting to work not for people who have been seasoned in the work game.

1. Only PT temps give SurePrep 5 stars. As a (former) full-time regular employee working on the software, this was the worst company that I’ve ever worked for. Zero stars for culture. Zero stars for work/life balance. Zero stars for management being “professional”. Zero stars for pay and benefits.
This is also a paperless office, so get used to not being able to write anything down on paper or print anything out. There is 1 bathroom (each) and 2 stalls each. During tax prep season, when they hire 100 temps, good luck waiting to use the restroom and having any TP once you’re in a stall. Also plan on going to for all your food, as there is no fridge space.
