It was a very small poorly run part of the overall business that didn’t matter much to anyone. Nice people that are smart, but lacks real ambition and breadth of offerings, and is way too small to matter.

Work life balance didn't seem so bad for most people. Some people seem more stressed about work than other. Compensation is a bit low compare to industry. Always have new things to do and things to learn.

Stay away if your work in HR/Recruiting

I wish I could go back in time and decline their offer. It’s been a waste of time working here. Did not learn any new skills and was not given the opportunity to take on new project/task. You can ask until you’re blue in the face, they’ll still deny any valuable work. Plenty of paper pushing and meaningless tasks, but nothing with any value. There is no room for advancement/progression. Work/life balance is nonexistent. Many managers have been here forever and are stuck in their ways. The overall environment is stagnant, boring, catty, and deflating. Coming to work everyday became torture. It was so bad I thought about quitting and collecting unemployment. I can’t speak to the technology side or the trading side, but the HR and Recruiting world is a mess. Turnover is very high in this department and they don’t listen to employee feedback. Overall, stay away.

Collaborative structures very poor
|
Some very smart people work there, but the culture is toxic. The attitude is one of blame culture, with very little positive reinforcement. You can spend all day not talking to any of your colleagues as peripheral discussion is actively discouraged, i.e. only those that are working directly on your projects should be consulted. It's a big pity as there are some very nice and helpful people there, but management is living in a by-gone era. Get in, learn what you need, and get out.
