Management is an absolute disgrace. Team leads have no clue how to update their team about policy changes,;management is very unorganized as well. You will walk in one morning and suddenly team policies change abruptly; nothing mentioned prior to changes. Also communication between Underwriters and sales is uncoordinated; seems like theres a ton of confusion when an unexpected problem arises. Sales people also pressure you on the spot when a deal goes wrong.

Organize management more efficiently; identify weaknesses and strengths within each team (not only underwriting) so the communication process is more fluent. Make sure other teams are well aware of Underwriting, customer service/funding, and sales changes. Have other teams cross train each other and get to know each departments process well. Every 6 months, train the underwriters, customer service, and sales on new product lines and have cross training on each department so theres no confusion.

Company has shifted their focus from quality to quantity in the last 12 months. All they seem to care about is hitting numbers. They have lifted a lot of rules they originally put in place to set us apart from all the other loan shark companies out there. Overall happiness of employees has drastically gone down. They only give out raises to management no matter how hard you work. Their are some managers within the company that treat their teams like complete garbage and they refuse to do anything about it. They ask to take on new job responsibilities without compensating you for it. Very heavy emphasis on "hitting numbers for investors" yet they don't tell us why. The industry is really starting to crack down on regulations as well. Honestly I think the end goal is to eventually sell the company so job security here could be questionable.

Plenty of opportunity to learn new technologies to implement solutions. People were pleasant enough around the office. Autonomy was a thing, too.
