Bonus schemes cut after bonuses achieved. Verbal abuse from management, culture of threats, forced to start work earlier than usual on boxing day under threat of job loss. Working here is awful and I desperately need out.

a totally disrespect to all employees, i worked with the most talented people that were never allowed to show their skills, one by one they were pushed out, i worked there from the start and helped build the company just to be made redundant because they found someone cheaper to do my job, that person left six months later, the take on loads of staff to cure their problems then sack them once they have milked them for their knowledge they did that twice in my time there, what a waste of time.

Very laid back position, on less busy days it was a lot of sitting around. Great co-workers, good interior design training (albeit on a budget). Good discount (but products still to expensive for our wage to buy).

development is more important than employees. While the company went through it's big boom opening concessions everywhere, soon after they shut them all down and fired everyone.
Managers had no concept of the actual job we were doing and pressured sales which were not possible. No possibility for advancing in role, no socials which weren't cancelled.
Our managers informed us we were allowed to take damaged/out of stock products from the showroom home - while telling us to never share this with higher-up managers, full of deceit and uncomfortable situations.

Dead-end no career progression, no pay-rise ever

Most people were very nice and great to work with, my team was fantastic.
|
There always was a handful of people at the top that were treated better than others, given opportunities and were allowed a lot more than the rest of us. Clear unappreciation for the creative sector as in-valuable and cheap. We had to constantly justify our working methods, never got pay rises or fair evaluation of our work. Also, men in this company tend to be given more opportunities and higher status. All in all, apart from some great co-workers, the place of work is stressful, demotivating, degrading and after a few years of employment here it starts affecting your self-esteem and self-worth. Do avoid working here at all costs.

- Expected to work weekends and in the evenings to hit deadlines (able to work form home)

Respect and recognition for the loyalty and expertise of your staff, if the needs of the company change and the roles change, ask your staff what they're goals are, and if this new role or structure fits, if not how can they make it suit them more to keep them. Staff respect the company values but HR and higher management don't.
There is a lack of understanding with the pressure put on the Marketing and creative teams to produce content and plans with minimal time by higher management; It's exceptionally stressful. Mental health awareness need better support and structure in place to recognise and enable people to work where creativity is nurtured and not abused; the attitude to produce high volume of work effects the quality output.
