Best company I've worked at

-Great people that always enjoyed a good time
-Nice management that didn't overwork or expect too much from employees
-Many opportunities to learn and grow
-Fair pay and excellent benefits

-No raises were given to any employees I know of
-The food during events were too much on the healthy side for my taste (but the sandwiches were great!)
-Traffic during rush our was intense making it tough to get home

Great people and products thrown away

For the most part, the people at Tachyon are incredible. They do great things, and enjoy working together to create something customers find genuinely useful. Everyone understands that keeping people communicating is the goal, and everyone is fully "in" with making that happen.
The benefits package is outstanding, and fully paid. This might be the best benefits package in San Diego, or even in California, and is offered to all employees at no out of pocket cost.

The management team has been openly at war with each other and with the board for my entire time at Tachyon. There are 9 different visions of what the company is and where it is going, none of which are shared by the board, who have just said "Meh, this ride is over."
Salaries are mediocre at best, and never increase. Get it all when you start, because it's never going to go up.

Great technology, weird leaders

Pay is above market for most positions. The benefits are really good, and the company pays 100% of all the premiums. Paid time off is pretty good too. There are some really smart people there, and you can learn a lot about the satellite industry if you pay attention.

Lots of politics. If you don't suck up to the senior management team, you're SOL. The management team clearly does not trust each other, and they give mixed messages.
