Between TECHEXPO and its sister companies, the company produces a variety of different events (hiring events, cybersecurity conferences, boutique luxury trade shows, brunches). This makes the job interesting because each day is different in terms of roles & responsibilities but it's also interesting getting to work in a variety of industries. An added benefit for employees is that you get to travel to these shows. Our team is close-knit so when you do travel for work, it's always enjoyable regardless of being busy.

Working in the events industry, there will be certain items you can't do until the very end and things come up that you couldn't plan in advance for. However, we luckily have a team of employees who are hands on and hard working and will go the extra mile to get what has to be done accomplished.

Interns are included in events across our three sectors, and I loved working in a cross-functional role, learning to market, plan, reach out, and source events.
As hiring event planners, we are not only sourcing events, but also giving jobs and futures to people all over the country. My favorite moment from the summer would have to be our DC Cyber Summit, an event I was just beginning to dive into. During my outreach calls, I spoke to a past speaker at our summits, the Senior Level Executive at the FBI with the kindest words for me, a newbie intern. I will never forget the great experiences I have obtained here by speaking with C-Suite and Senior Level executives each day.

Wonderful Summer Internship Experience!

I am so grateful to have had such a wonderful experience and to have met such awesome people who really are so well-informed and knowledgeable of the field they are in. I am honestly in awe of the skills I've picked up this past summer, and it has truly shown me that no college class can compare to actually getting out there and getting hands-on experience. The amount of social media experience I got this summer will be so helpful to me in the future, and I genuinely feel as though I can bring so much more to the table with all of this knowledge under my belt! I cannot thank this company enough for my wonderful summer internship, and I will miss everyone I had the pleasure of working with very much!

The office can get very busy at times, but if you're planning on going into the event industry this is definitely something you would have to adapt to.

After several months of working at TECHEXPO, I am fully confident that I made the right decision to change career paths from the Entertainment Industry to Event Coordination.
I appreciate every day of working with amazing co-workers and CEO, Bradford.
I am currently an Events/Marketing Associate, therefore my role varies from Attendee Outreach, Event Logistics, Customer Service, Administrative Office Duties, and Developing/Creating Marketing and Event Sponsorship opportunities. This is the most hospitable "family-like" team that I have ever worked with. No co-worker simply has one job. Every colleague pitches in when help is needed.
I appreciate that I was properly trained and explained tasks in a detailed manner in order to successfully manage those tasks. Not only is this company a great place to start your career, but it is a great company to grow your career as well. Looking forward to the future.

Due to the fact that we produce 60+ events a year, it can at times be a lot to manage. That isn't necessarily a con, but it some people can interpret it that way if they aren't used to a heavy workload. This is definitely a company for someone who likes to keep busy.

The company works in lots of different industries, so you learn a lot. They produce a lot of cool events (luxury launch parties, tech events). You get to travel once in a while, often to the DC area, but also places like LA. The owner / CEO is easy to talk to, and encourages everyone to come up with new ideas. It's a small company, which made it a relaxed, fun atmosphere, don't have to dress up for work or anything, just when you go to meetings or events.

You have a lot of clients in different events so can get hectic at times.
