The assistant director for the mechanical trades is a tyrant and a bully. He manages by intimidation and if you won't cave to his whims, he'll fire you and find someone who will. They have no respect for the individual. Their philosophy is "You should be thankful you have a job." I enjoy the work that I do. But leadership is lacking at all levels. The work culture needs work. Central unit staff lack professionalism and customer service skills. Many employees have been at Temple for many many years and have little motivation to do their jobs let alone do them well. Many flat out refuse to do their jobs and nobody holds them accountable.
